Open House Week

Open House Week

Tour our outstanding school this April and find a place for your child. Our open events are always very well attended, providing prospective families the opportunity to meet the head, talk to staff and pupils and see what makes our school so successful.

Why Battle Abbey School

Our Prep school is warm and welcoming, where the children are happy and secure and school days are vibrant and busy.

The Prep School house is large and rambling, giving a homely feel and the grounds give space for our children to run and play sport. The Nursery occupies a purpose built building right next to the Prep School. Nestled between the sea, countryside and town, our unique location provides numerous opportunities to learn outside of the classroom.

Every child is valued as an individual and their unique qualities and talents are nurtured. We ensure aspirational outcomes for all our pupils. Whatever attributes your child has we want to ensure they have the confidence to maximise them, whilst ensuring they maintain a sense of wellbeing and joy at school.

There are approximately one hundred and twenty children in the Prep School and some 60 on roll at the Nursery. This means that we know every child and their family. We believe being a genuinely small school means we can provide a bespoke experience that prepares pupils for life at senior school. Our children develop a sense of true worth as an individual and also as part of the Battle Abbey family.

Battle Abbey Nursery is an integral part of Battle Abbey School and is nestled under trees within the grounds of the Prep School. As well as enjoying well appointed, airy classrooms, the nursery benefits from many of the school facilities, both indoors and out. With a wide open field and shady woodland areas, children can play and learn in a safe and supportive environment.

Experienced and highly qualified staff support the children and work in close partnership with parents. Children can join us at any time between the ages of 3 months to 4 years old and settling in sessions are carefully planned to support both parents and children.
