Battle
Abbey School occupies one of the most remarkable buildings
in Britain. William the Conqueror built the original church
on the site after he defeated King Harold at the Battle of
Hastings in 1066. The Abbey church is now in ruins, but the
Abbot's House remains, which currently houses the school.
The entrance through the Gatehouse into Battle Abbey School is pictured on the right.
Weddings
may be held in the magnificent thirteenth century Abbot's
Hall pictured here, or in the Victorian Duke's Library pictured below..
The cost of a wedding and ceremony at Battle Abbey School is £3,300, to include the exclusive use of the Abbot's Hall, Duke's Library, Refectory and school grounds.
After
the Ceremony, we can offer you our excellent hospitality with
a range of buffet and sit-down menus, catering for up to 120
people. Our menus start at £25.00 per person.
