Battle Abbey School is presently celebrating record-breaking results obtained by its pupils, both at “A-level” and GCSE in 2007.

At “A”-Level, some 63% of all grades at “AS” and “A2” were at A and B grades, while all candidates achieved at least 2 passes at A-Level.

At GCSE, there was a fourth successive annual improvement in overall achievement:
100% of pupils gained at least 6 GCSEs from A*-C
98% of pupils gained at least 6 GCSEs including English and Maths
95% of pupils gained at least 8 GCSEs including English and Maths
59% of all grades were A or A*, and
55% of all pupils gained at least 6 A or A* grades

Headmaster Roger Clark said “I am absolutely delighted with this achievement. These results reflect a tremendous amount of hard work and huge commitment from staff and pupils.
He added “Both teachers and pupils are under so much more pressure to perform these days than even five years ago. This is why standards are rising. The young people, their teachers and their supportive families deserve every credit
