Father of the Bride
Battle Abbey School occupies one of the most remarkable buildings in Britain. William the Conqueror built the original church on the site after he defeated King Harold at the Battle of Hastings in 1066. The Abbey church is now in ruins, but the Abbot's House remains, which currently houses the school.
It is the perfect venue for private luncheons, dinners and corporate hospitality. During the Summer months, drinks may be taken on our Top Terrace overlooking the scenic 1066 Battlefield itself.
A complete choice of menus is available for 100+ guests, and may be served in the majestic Abbot's Hall, the beautiful panelled Duke's Library, or in the Refectory with its gracious gothic arches.
Our professional staff are experienced and attentive, and Battle Abbey School is the perfect venue for a unique and memorable private function.
The entrance through the Gatehouse into Battle Abbey School and Weddings may be held in the magnificent Abbot's Hall or the Victorian Duke's Library.
All Wedding bookings include the exclusive use of the Abbot's Hall, Duke's Library, Refectory and school grounds.
After the Ceremony, we can offer you our excellent hospitality with a range of buffet and sit-down menus, catering for up to 120 people..
