Bus Service
Battle Abbey School offer a wide choice of options for your children to travel to and from both the Prep and Senior Schools.
With effect from 5th January 2011 we are able to operate a morning and evening service across an extensive area which includes Eastbourne, Uckfield, Heathfield, Cranbrook, Rye and Hastings, covering approximately a 20 mile radius.
These services will be in addition to the shuttle service which operates between the Prep School and Senior School. We also operate a bus service from Battle railway station to the Senior School, meeting trains from Tonbridge, Tunbridge Wells and Hastings.
Further details of the various routes are available from the School office and costs are generally added to your school bill with other disbursements for the term. Please note that a second child will pay a discounted fee when travelling on the same service as their sibling.
We recognise that a number of parents may wish to use the service, in particular the intra-school service, on an occasional basis and this can be booked on the day before with the relevant School office.
We regret that due to Early Years regulations we will not be able to accommodate children under 5 years using the service.
We cover all the transport requirements for morning swimming, evening sports activities and sports fixtures. These services continue as normal and will be booked by the Head of PE. Travel for sporting activities continues to be free.
Please contact the Senior School Office for more information on 01424 772385.
NEWS FLASH :
