A Level PE
Here at Battle Abbey School we provide a very high standard of sport and physical activity for pupils whatever their natural abilities. Whilst our philosophy is driven by the ‘Sport for All’ ethos, we pursue excellence wherever possible.
Every student has the opportunity to experience a wide variety of physical and sporting disciplines and opportunities to participate in school and house sport are available throughout the year. Those displaying potential are selected to train in the sports squads, where talent and ability are focused so that all pupils can realize their full potential.
Each pupil has a games lesson where a team sport is played once a week. This is usually netball, hockey and rounders for girls, and football, rugby, hockey and cricket for boys. Pupils also have an additional 2 or 3 other physical education lessons a week, where a range of different sports and physical activities are undertaken. These may include swimming, trampolining, rugby, tennis and athletics.
NEWS FLASH :
